CHAPTER 18_HAWAII

http://gsabulletin.gsapubs.org
When comparing the city of Las Vegas to the state of Hawaii one can conclude that both are popular destinations for vacationing, but they both lack the category on comparing both places as a whole. The one thing that you can compare the two are volcano's. Both destination have volcanoes surrounding them. Like for instance near Las Vegas the Timber Mountain volcano is 1675 meters in
elevation. The Timber Mountain volcano is not the only volcano in Nevada, there are more than ten most of which are inactive. The main difference between these volcanoes and the volcanoes of the Hawaiian islands is that they are considered to be shield volcanoes made of fluid lava flows. Even though Las Vegas and Hawaii share a common interest with each other, both are universally different from one other in so many ways.
